I’ve posted before about the difference in our anonymous and identity disclosure donors, but how do you feel about that status? If a donor is truly anonymous, do you respect his privacy and never search for answers, or allow the offspring to search? If the donor is identity disclosure, do you really wait until the offspring is 18 to acquire the information?
The differences in opinion on these issues are tremendous. Many families respect the donor’s right to privacy and will never ask for information or seek information themselves. Other families feel it is their right to find out information.
