Modern technology has made this dream more of a reality for them. In a recent article , Dr. Jamie Grifo and Dr. David Kreiner, reproductive endocrinologists in New York said, “It is not difficult to get pregnant in your late 40s or early 50s- as long as you have two things: someone else’s eggs or at least $16,000 or so.”
Actress Kelly Preston recently announced her pregnancy at the age of 47. She has not stated whether the pregnancy was natural or through the help of modern technology. However, she does join a long list of celebrities that have decided to have children later in life.
I don’t think there is a perfect age to get pregnant. I think whenever you’re ready and know that you can handle the responsibility and can afford the costs involved, that you should be able to have a child.
